Guaranteeing #1 Search Engine Rankings in less than a week!

With "Pay-per-click" search engines you control your ranking, at a price! With the thousands of new sites being adding to the search engines daily, true Search Engine Optimization for a web site does take time, effort and patience.

For those webmasters in a hurry, "Pay-Per-Click" Search Engines can be the answer. Basically you choose how much you want to pay each time someone clicks on your link from the search engine and the amount of your "bid" decides your ranking.

For example the top bid for the keyword "computers" on Overture is currently $0.55. Every time someone clicks that link it costs the web site $0.55. The #10 position only costs $0.28 and so on. It is constantly changing as bids are placed. Someone can bid $0.56 and take the first spot effectively moving everyone down a place.

Before you rush to the site to sign up though you need to realize that there is a cost involved and that to get the most from your investment takes some planning. Also note they have implemented a minimum bid of $0.05 per click and a minimum $20 month spending on advertising.

Most of you will want to take the time to do it yourself. Here are some things to remember before getting started:

Advertisers listing on more than 20 terms have reported greater success using Overture than those with fewer than 20. 

The #1 listing usually gets 3 times as many clicks as the #5 listing.

Listings that include the search term in both the title and description have a higher click through rate (more than 50% higher on average) than those that don't!

Point consumers to the specific page on your site that has the information they request.

If you elect for the basic sign-up it is a simple 3 step process. Before you get started though, it will greatly speed things up as well as make your marketing more effective, if you choose your keywords and write out your title and description in a word processor or spreadsheet. Also decide what page you want each keyword to link directly to. You want to target at least 20-40 keywords to start and expand to include as many apply to your site as possible. 

You will start by opening your account with $50.00 and it is up to you how you divide that amongst your keywords, whether all search terms are worth the same amount or if others are worth more. Search on different keywords to get a feel for what is already there. To get started you can simply set all your bids to $0.05, this will eventually net you 400 visits for your $50 dollars but it will take time as $0.05 likely won't position you too well for popular keywords. There is a tool on the signup form that allows you to get the current bid for each search term.

Once you have chosen your keywords you are asked the usual contact details and then payment is made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or by Check.

Once your account is activated it is reviewed within 3-5 business days by an editor who approves your site for relevance and it then becomes live for searches. In the meantime you can access your account and decide if you want your $50 to be a one time payment, or you can upgrade to a non-stop plan where they bill your card as your account gets low to keep your account constantly active. You can also have a monthly billing plan where you decide how much you want to spend a month and once you pass that limit you aren't re-billed until the following month.

They also have a variety of tools like the Keyword Suggestion tool, Avg Daily Click Charges Summary and the Estimated Account Depletion.
